We sent a team for a 5 day trip to Mexico in August to Ensenada & Maneadero to help with the scholarship
distribution for 142 students at New Hope & Paradise missions. We want to thank YOU our donors for
faithfully contributing funds to allow us to do
this mission every year!
We were able to connect with Chris and Ruth Choi,
a missionary couple who have been working with Paradise providing music at the service on Wednesdays, food and items for special events, and their Korean church who supports them, just donated new chairs for Paradise.
As I sat in church and watched all the kids going off to Bible lessons , saw the adults worshiping there, & excited we could give out the scholarships, I prayed "God, we still need to keep this going, the churches need to continue all that they do." Our general account is getting low (we only have funds right now for one more month) to support this work.

Faithful Teachers at Paradise
A recent visit with Diane & her mom with Marge Rau. Diane was our missionary in MX for over 30 years, her mom Christina who is 102, has supported us monthly for many years. Marge Rau was director of Sisters in Christ, a group of women who built houses in Paradise for over 20 years, working with ECM. These women continue to support ECM with their donations!
2024 NEWS
2024 Scholarship Trip
The US team, Nancy, Sandra S., Coral, Sandra H., arrived in Ensenada on August 7th. Our first few days we had a wallet & phone stolen, a fall, sickness, & other things to distract us. We changed a few plans, but trusted that God would see us through. We went on to visit with many friends & helped give 191 scholarships to students who qualified. Each received pesos to purchase uniforms, supplies & some pay tuition so they can continue attending school. All donors will receive a note with this thank you from one of the students receiving a scholarship. The message is clear, they are all grateful for the help!

Our Families
There are many families attending weekly services at New Hope in Ensenada & Paradise in Maneadero. We have weekly worship services & Bible classes for the children. We have celebrations that will be coming up. Christmas, Kings Day, Children's Day, Valentines Day, Easter. We thank Lupe and Juan our two field workers in MX who keep all the programs and events organized.
We also want to thank all the volunteers who help.

Paradise (Paraiso) team
"Fresh Start" Scholarship Program 2023
This year, there were 200 students who qualified for a scholarship. With the funds received, we were able to purchase notebooks for each child and give them pesos to be able to purchase other items needed for school.
Our US team of Nancy Kaastad, Coral Fife , Sandra Sullivan & Ana Serra all from Washington State were able to go to Mexico in August to visit our teams and help with the scholarship distribution. Our US team remains volunteer and pays for their airfare & housing.
We want to thank our team in Mexico; Lupita Soto, & Juan Cortez Jr., for their help in organizing the distribution for us ahead of our coming in August. We enjoyed seeing our friends once again!

We were able to make T-shirts for our staff and workers in Mexico this year as a thank you for all of their volunteer work. Three ladies from May Valley Church in Renton, WA volunteered their resources & time to design & cut out the logo & press them
onto the shirts
