At the beginning of each school year our program provides a scholarship to each qualifying student to help families purchase uniforms, shoes, back- packs, school supplies and tuition for students who want to continue their education. Each child must follow our guidelines, attend one of our two Mission programs, complete an application, be enrolled and currently attending school, & submit school records.  Parents must sign for pesos, and return receipts of their purchases.

 

Because of the low wages in the area and the scarcity of full-time work during the winter, many of the families are not able to keep their children in school and they leave school at an early age.

The Fresh Start Scholarship Program brings hope and help to many families. Some of the families can pay something toward their children’s continued education and only need a little assistance from us.
